Mahendragarh: 5 college students have been killed, and 15 others have been injured after a non-public faculty bus they have been travelling in overturned in Kanina city of Haryana’s Mahendragarh district on Thursday, officers stated.
Dr Ravi Kaushik, a physician at Nihal Hospital, stated that 4 college students have been introduced lifeless, whereas one succumbed to his accidents within the hospital.
“4 college students have been introduced lifeless, and one crucial scholar who was placed on a ventilator handed away on the hospital. 15 injured college students have been referred to a different hospital. SDM and administration are current,” the physician stated.
The police stated that the preliminary investigation means that the motive force was driving the bus inebriated.
“Upon receiving the knowledge of the incident, we reached the spot. The driving force is suspected to be intoxicated. Additional investigation into the matter is underway,” Mahendragarh Station Home Officer (SHO) Uday Bhan stated.
One of many college students who bought injured within the accident stated that the bus was overspeeding and collided with a canal, resulting in the accident.
“The driving force was drunk, and the bus was overspeeding. As quickly as the motive force tried to take a flip, the bus collided with a canal and overturned. There have been 50 college students on the bus,” the coed advised police. Additional particulars are awaited.
