A former police captain is reportedly in crucial situation following a taking pictures in downtown Oakland. 

A number of media shops, together with the San Francisco Chronicle, KRON and Oaklandside, are reporting that now-retired Oakland police captain Ersie Joyner was robbed at gunpoint simply after 1 p.m. on Thursday on the Chevron on the 1700 block of Castro Road.

It’s unclear who shot first, however surveillance footage obtained by the Chronicle discovered {that a} minute into the altercation, Joyner pulled out a gun and fired repeatedly on the alleged suspects. One reportedly died on the scene, based on KRON.
