4 fabric merchants from Madhya Pradesh have been reportedly killed in an accident between an SUV and a truck in Latur district of Maharashtra, the police stated, reported the PTI.
In line with the PTI, the incident happened when their SUV collided with a rushing truck on Wednesday, the police stated.
The accident happened on Nilanga-Udgir street round 12.30 pm because the truck was heading from Nilanga to Devni and the SUV was coming from wrong way, stated an official, as per the PTI.
The 4 passengers within the SUV died on the spot, he stated.
The deceased have been recognized as Sanjay Jain, Rajiv Jain, Sachin alias Dipak Kumar Jain and Santosh Jain, all of them of their 40s and residents of Indore.
The deceased have been in fabric commerce and had come to Latur for enterprise functions, the police official stated.
The truck driver fled from the spot and search was on for him whereas a case of unintentional dying was registered at Devni police station, the official added.
4 of household drown as automobile falls into river in Gujarat
In the meantime, in an one other incident, 4 members of a household reportedly drowned after their automobile plunged into the Bhadar river in Gujarat`s Rajkot district on Wednesday morning, police stated, reported the PTI.
The incident happened on a bridge close to Dhoraji city, stated Deputy Superintendent of Police R A Dodia.
The motive force of the automobile apparently misplaced management of the car after one of many tyres burst whereas crossing a bridge on Bhadar river on Dhoraji-Jamnagar street, he stated.
The deceased have been recognized as Dinesh Thummar (55) who was driving, his spouse Lilavanti Thummar (52), their daughter Hardika (20) and Lilavati`s elder sister Sangita Koyani (55), as per the PTI.
They have been residents of Dhoraji city and getting back from a close-by village after attending a non secular perform, the official stated.
“The automobile broke the concrete railing of the bridge and plunged into the water. All 4 drowned as none of them might come out of the automobile in time,” Dodia added.
